About this deal

Most car seats last between five and nine years after they were manufactured (not necessarily after they were bought); that's why it is important to check the user guide. What that means is you can take the Mifold just about anywhere and can confidently know that you are using a product that is compliant with safety standards in any city and in just about any country you travel to.

TraveLynn Family were gifted two mifold Comforts for our Morocco travels in exchange for this honest review and social media promotion. Having used both the Mifold and Hifold Seats we would recommend these seats for different situations. The thing that we liked best about the Mifold car seat is that there really is no reason not to always have it in your car. mifold can adjust to securely restrain children of all sizes - the lap belt guides have 3 positions and the Quick-Clip allows fast, easy and accurate adjustment for children of all heights, (as well as one-handed use) positioning the seat belt correctly on the collar bone. Installing the mifold in our hire car took less time to complete than my one-year-old’s group 1 car seat which we had hired.

The mifold range of grab-and-go backless boosters General How does it work/compare to a regular booster? By carrying our own car seats we were able to save money on our car rental but also did not have to carry big bulky car seat boosters with us on the plane.

It also meets US and Canadian regulations, but the dimensions and labelling are slightly different to allow for differing standards. Plus, if you don't need it all the time, you can fold it up and make space on your seat for something else, like grocery bags, for the times you don't need to use it. It’s also ideal for those looking to go abroad, whether by train or airplane, and those who don’t want the risk and uncertainty – and expense – of hiring sub-standard car seats. The Mifold can be used for children aged 4-12 years, or 15-36kg, but it is a question of what age you want to use it. It is brilliantly adaptable, so can be used in lots of different situations, for kids of many shapes and sizes. We have designed mifold to be easy to clean by washing the surfaces with a mild solution of soap and water . Every car seat is different, so always read the user guide to find out the seat's expiration date and other important information. While some booster seats have fancy extras, a booster really only has one function and that’s to properly position an adult seat belt so that it safely secures a child’s smaller body. The belt guides on either side of the child’s hips are adjustable to three sizes to make sure the seatbelt is always held snugly in place.

However, this seat's crash test results were so far below the average we think most parents would rather have a heavier or larger option that is safer. I find the adjusting of the seat a bit counter-intuitive, so it did take me quite a few attempts to adjust it properly between children. The Hifold booster is adjustable in 4 key areas – head height and width, shoulder width and seat width.Life with kids cant always be planned, so whether on holiday, in a taxi or on the school rota, keeping a mifold in a child’s backpack at all times offers a practical and viable solution for those occasions when a booster seat is simply not available.

I realise it’s not for everyone and lots of friends of mine are perfectly happy with their little ones to be in a regular booster seat but for me it is something I just can’t decide to use on a regular basis. Mifold seems to recognize the discomfort of their original model and offers both the Mifold Comfort and the Mifold Sport as more padded, comfort-forward options. The multi-award-winning booster seat has now sold over a million times worldwide and has brought a convenient and safe revolution to keeping kids safe in cars. Built using super tough plastic polymers like Delrin 100 ST from Dupont, aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum and supportive DenseFoam with non-slip FrictionFabric. While we originally thought the hifold would feature only when travelling, it seems to have become an everyday staple in our car because the kids find it so comfortable. This is the key safety point of the seat, fitting the seatbelt to their size, rather than raising them to fit adult sizes. He felt very snug in it – it seemed to fit him really well – I was impressed with how it adjusted to both my kids’ size.
