About this deal

My only negative is that it is perhaps a bit repetitive with the letters and the book lists as my enjoyment lies in the characters that you follow through.

Most of the threads are tied up nicely by the end, albeit with some difficult, sometimes tragic events along the way.I like the concept of the book, as book lovers we already know the joy of reading and the idea of prescribing books as a form of medicine or a remedy is a good one.

There is a great deal of talking about, loss in all its forms and I was very upset at times during the book.I absolutely loved the first book and was never expecting a follow up when I listened to it in 2018. I suppose it’s ironic that I read this on my Kindle, since the emphasis is very much on reading real books - mostly second-hand, previously loved, with the different smells and feelings associated with different styles of book. A love letter to books, so many are mentioned and how they might help with various emotional states. This sparks an idea in Loveday, and she realises that there is something positive they can do to help people get through the crisis while also helping the business.
